Green medication is safe and effective. Complications from clinical application are extremely rare and if any are limited. The statements below describe the modalities and applications for treatment that may be employed which will assist understanding and participation in the healing process.
Tuina
Tuina is a specialized medical massage modality of TCM. A skill exerted with strength and stroke varieties by hands of the practitioner on patient’s body surface to stimulate acupuncture points and meridians in order to regulate the body’s physiological and pathological conditions and to achieve the purpose of treating diseases. Occasionally after treatment, patient may experience soreness at the sites of treatment for first few days but will eventually disappear.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a technique utilizing fine stainless sterilized needles (single-use) which are inserted on specific points of the body to correct various ailments. Acupuncture points selection and depth of needle insertion is determined by the nature of the problem. Application of these needles may be accompanied by some slightly painful sensations on certain areas. There are times that minor bleeding will occur and minimal possibility of having a minor swelling, hematoma, or bruise at the site of insertion. Fainting is extremely rare with proper relaxed posture during treatment. Avoid treatment when you have nervous tension, over fatigue or hunger.
Chinese Moxibustion
Chinese Moxibustion is an innovated Chinese herbal medicine with applied latest advanced technology that upholds the truth of ancient Chinese moxibustion therapeutic principles of more than 5,000 years combined with modern medical theory in treating diseases. It is a three-dimensional treatment modality that complements each other which consists of thermal therapy, moxibustion therapy and herbal therapy. A green medication without toxic side effect and efficacy is 20-30 times faster than the traditional moxibustion. When applied onto acupuncture point, the heat with concentrated herbal medicine will enter rapidly in molecular form into the focal area to achieve significant therapeutic effect. Physical appearance is in a form of a patch with two layers, composed of an auto-heating element on top and segregated with herbal medicines below. The heat will last for a period of 10-12 hours at consistent temperature. A thermal-controlling sticker can be attached on top of the patch to lessen air entry into the heating element for the purpose of lowering and controlling the temperature. On rare occasion, blister may develop on few individuals. Use sterilized needle to tear and let out the alluvial liquid, then apply antibacterial ointment to prevent from getting infection. Guasha or Skin Scrapping
